United Salvage, in consultation with industry, has utilised its experiences in emergency response situations to develop a two-day Lloyd’s Register accredited course in Marine Emergency Towage. Including both theoretical and practical elements, the course provides towage vessel operators and their crews with a realistic opportunity to engage with salvage industry expects whom have worked on some of the most complex marine emergency response situations experienced both regionally and globally.

During the course, attendees will get an insight into:
- Understanding the basic concepts of marine salvage and have an awareness of emergency towage capabilities.
- Identification of equipment suitable for a variety of emergency towage solutions.
- Preparation of both the towage vessel and casualty for an emergency towage connection.
- Connection of both a ‘dead-ship’ and powered casualty emergency towage situations.
- Emergency towage equipment storage and maintenance.
All whilst performing tasks in a SAFE and SEAMANSHIP like manner. At the completion of the course, competent attendees will be issued with a certificate of competency and be better prepared for when your organisation is faced with engagement in emergency towage situations.
